As your healthcare partner, we want you to know that your health is our top priority.  As an important provider of diagnostic imaging to the community, we are here to reassure you that access to your essential medical testing needs remains available so that any treatment that you may need will not be delayed.

What we are doing to keep all patients safe:

MSR is one of the few privately owned imaging facilities in New York City that is certified as an Article 28 facility, which means that it adheres to an additional level of requirements as specified by the NY Department of Health.  Some examples of these requirements are:

• Separate waiting areas for general public and patients
• Separate restrooms for public, patients, and staff
• Larger corridors
• Larger exam rooms
• Enhanced air circulation and exhaust
  

What to expect during your visit:

• All patients will continue to get screened (history of Covid-19 contact and exposure and temperature screening) before entering our facilities.
• Only patients will be allowed into the facility, with exceptions for minors or adults with special needs (including translation), in which case one additional accompanying caregiver is allowed.
• Everyone in the facility must wear a mask or face covering.
• All patients will be given hand sanitizer or opportunity to wash hands before proceeding to the registration process.
• Social distancing guidelines are followed.  The number of chairs in the waiting areas and the number of persons allowed in the building will be restricted accordingly.
• Our facilities and equipment are cleaned and disinfected continuously using hospital grade disinfectant.

What you should do to protect yourself:

Coronavirus spreads through contact with respiratory droplets caused by coughing and sneezing. You should be using the same prevention methods as you would to avoid a common cold or the flu, as well as practicing recommended social distancing guidelines.  The best ways to protect yourself include:

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
• Try to avoid touching your face.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home from school or work when you are sick.
