Breast MRI is a specialized magnetic resonance examination of the breast. At Main Street Radiology, this examination is performed on both 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla MR units with dedicated breast coils. We utilize the latest Sentinelle coils, which produces superior quality imaging. The advanced technology has enabled us to map the internal stucture of the breasts allowing us to detect breast abnormalities that may not have been detected with mammography or breast ultrasound. However, it is with the integration of mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI that we can provide the best problem solving practice. Our radiologists are specialized in breast imaging and can therefore integrate the different modalities of information. Only with this integration can a superior quality service be provided.

Also, if previous studies were not performed at Main Street Radiology, please provide the examination and reports at the time of your examination. This allow us to render a complete interpretation.
Biopsies are performed in Ultrasound, Mammography, and MRI by our board certified Radiologists at our New York Hospital Queens location 56-45 Main Street Flushing.
